A native Houstonian and Inner Loop resident living in Braeswood Place, Broker Drake Terrell focuses on older, Inner Loop neighborhoods. He combines more than 30 years of real estate experience with an extensive knowledge of home remodeling to help buyers discover the potential in these older properties. He applies this same expertise in advising buyers considering new construction, helping them compare and evaluate amenities, floor plans, finishes and other important factors.
"I understand what is sometimes needed to maximize a home's potential. I appreciate the value a seller sees in their updated home," says Drake. This insight, along with a strong contractual knowledge and high ethical standards, enables him to complete comprehensive transactions and eliminate buyers and sellers concerns. He helps buyers narrow their focus by listening to their wants and needs, then educates them to possibilities the market holds for their future. In order to further serve his clients needs Drake is also active in the Bryan/College Station MLS.
A former Eagle Scout, Drake is always prepared. He says, “I will always be honest with the client and am willing to devote whatever amount of time is required for their buying or selling experience to be satisfying both emotionally and financially.”
Also US Army veteran, Drake’s four years of service in Europe where he was a member of the Military Police exposed him to a myriad of cultures and experiences that equipped him to deal with new and challenging situations in real estate.
Drake's commitment to improving the inner city was demonstrated by his founding of the Dearborn Place Civic Association. He was instrumental in obtaining streetlights and repaving for the neighborhood. He is also a former Board Member of the Braeswood Place Civic Association.
He and his wife Joan, an Interior Designer, have two sons. A devoted father, he is a former Pershing Boys Lacrosse coach, and a former Assistant Scoutmaster. You will often hear Drake refer to Texas A&M where his youngest son is a freshman in the Corps of Cadets.
